6 DOF robotic arm (in progress)
Robotics | Mechatronics

Project Overview
The objective of this project is to design, manufacture, and program a six degree of freedom robotic arm capable of performing precise, controlled movements and object manipulation. The project involves mechanical design using SolidWorks, 3d printed components ,actuators, and microcontroller integration. This project also implements inverse kinematics for smooth trajectory planning and coordinated multi axis movement.
Design requirenments
1) Be able to lift objects within its specified maximum payload capacity.
2) Minimize structural deflection and vibration during operation to maintain positioning accuracy and stability.
3) Provide six degrees of freedom to allow controlled positioning and orientation of the effector.
4) Ensure actuators provide sufficient torque to support the arms weight including under fully extended conditions.
